“I had just signed with my agent and gone on submission for the first time, and I was feeling lost about what to do next.
Building community, strengthened my novel based on feedback from the workshops (particularly the one in romantic tension was so helpful!), and I got started on my big scary revisions! I definitely was having a rough time being on submission, but the focus on mindfulness and self care helped me get through, and gave me tools to continue to use while I go through this process!

Hi, I’m Tiffany Grimes

Writing with authenticity and intention is the most powerful skill you can cultivate as a writer.
And while you don’t need a degree or years of experience to hone your craft, it helps to have guidance and support along the way.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked with hundreds of writers—ranging from emerging voices to book editors—on everything from middle grade fantasy to adult memoir. They’ve gone on to find their creative flow, connect deeply with their readers, and build fulfilling writing lives that align with their values and goals.
Now, through The Residency, I’ve created a space designed to help you embrace your voice, elevate your craft, and build a writing life you’re proud of. Let’s help you write with clarity, confidence, and purpose—and create stories that truly resonate.
The Residency is designed to meet you where you are in your writing journey. With flexible tracks and resources, you have the freedom to curate your own path—choosing the level of engagement and support that fits your needs. Whether you're seeking inspiration, craft-focused guidance, or community connection, you can sign up for exactly what works for you, on your terms.
We understand that stepping into a new writing space can be daunting—especially when you're more comfortable working quietly in your own space. As an introvert, it can feel tempting to retreat into your shell, avoiding the vulnerability of putting your work out there. But this is a safe space to stretch your wings, find your voice, and grow as a writer without fear.
That’s why we’ve designed The Residency to be flexible, welcoming, and supportive, meeting you where you are in your creative process. Whether you're just starting out or already well into your writing journey, we’re here to nurture your growth.
