Your pitch should describe the angle you plan to take, outline the key points you’ll cover, explain why the topic is relevant to our readers, and highlight why you’re the right writer for this subject.
We are looking for blog submissions that are relevant, original, and authentic, offering in-depth and honest insights. They must be written without the use of generative AI and adhere to Burgeon Design & Editorial's formatting guidelines, including an intro and sub-headers (examples available on our website). By submitting a pitch, you agree to write a blog post between 1,500-2,000 words.

Dear Burgeon Blog Editors,
I am writing to pitch the blog post, “Navigating the Publishing Industry With Anxiety.”
This post will explore how writers with anxiety can navigate the pressures and challenges of the publishing industry. It will provide practical advice on managing the emotional hurdles of the submission process, coping with rejection, and balancing self-promotion without feeling overwhelmed. The post will offer strategies for finding support networks, building resilience, and prioritizing self-care while setting realistic goals in an often competitive environment.
This topic is particularly relevant for your audience, as many writers struggle with the mental and emotional toll of pursuing a writing career. As someone who has faced these challenges firsthand, I hope to offer insights that will resonate with your readers.
This topic is meaningful to me as I not only have anxiety myself, but I’ve also experienced the heartbreak of seeing two novels die on submission. My debut novel, TITLE, will be published in fall 2025.
Thank you for considering my pitch. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute.
Sincerely,
Jane Smith
